Charles Allen Tweedy, 80, of Stonewall Road, Concord, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was the husband of the late Betty Carter Moreno Tweedy.

Born in Appomattox County, January 3, 1938, he was a son of the late Betty Sue and Charlie Rosser Tweedy. Charles was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and served his country in the United States Navy. He worked most of his career at B&W as a Quality Inspector.

He is survived by two children, Tracy Tweedy and Michelle Moore and husband, Kevin; one sister, Kathy Meador and husband, Lee; three grandchildren, Chad Moore, Grae Tweedy and Kameron Tweedy; one great-granddaughter, Kymber Moore; two nephews, Derrick Meador and Nick Meador and wife, Brandy; four great-nieces and nephews, Gage, MaKinnley, Cole and Bobo.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Mann officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service, and other times at the residence of Michelle and Kevin Moore.
