Charles Russell McFadden, Jr., 53, of Appomattox, died Thursday, April 20, 2017.

Born in Lynchburg, March 1, 1964, he was a son of Anna Pauline Tyree and Charles Russell McFadden, Sr. of Gladstone. Charles was a member of Gladstone Memorial Baptist Church, Greenway Hunt Club and Churchill Hunt Club. He was a supervisor with W.E.L. Incorporated.

He is survived by his two sons, Jonathan James McFadden and Derek Jeffery McFadden both of Appomattox; one brother, Ricky Allen McFadden, Sr., and wife, Judy of Gladstone; two nephews, Ricky Allen McFadden, Jr., and wife, Felicia and Joshua Kyle McFadden all of Amherst; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Childress officiating. Burial will follow in the McFadden Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his parents, Pauline and Russell McFadden.
