Obituary
Cecil L. May, 73, of Appomattox, died Friday, July 29, 2016 at his residence.
Born in Red House, July 12, 1943 he was the son of Sarah Pentecost and the late Clarence Jay May. Cecil was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and retired from Central Fidelity as a computer programmer. He was an avid traveler, loved the outdoors, camping and listening to bluegrass.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two children and three grandchildren, John May, his wife Amanda, their daughter, Abigail and Adam May, his wife Rebecca, their daughters, Merritt and Irene, all of Lynchburg.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Rusty Small officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Robinson Funeral Home.
