Catherine Ramsey Price, 89, of Pamplin, died Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Dinwiddie Health and Rehab Center. She was the wife of the late Raymond Milton Price, Sr.

Born in Madisonville, Va., on September 7, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Eugenia Garrison and Clarence Edward Ramsey. She was a member of Beale Memorial Presbyterian Church and worked for Appomattox Garment Company.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond Milton Price, Jr. of Newport News and Joseph Eugene Price of Appomattox; a daughter, Janice Crutchfield and husband, Billy of Petersburg; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Chris, Nikki, Mark, Mary Beth, Chad, Amanda Jo, and Melissa; five great-grandchildren, Lauren, Leah, Dylan, Cassia, and Layla Grey; a sister, Betty Ramsey Jamerson of Raleigh, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Cyrus and Mable Marsh and a brother, Edward Ramsey.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2014, in Madisonville Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. Jason Whitener. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service or other times at the home of her son, Gene, 328 Ethel St., Appomattox.
