Catherine Erickson Murphy, 86, of Police Tower Road, died Friday, February 16, 2017, at Guggenheimer Health and Rehabilitation.   She and her late husband, Carl Boyd Murphy, Jr., shared their lives together for 63 years.

Born in Camden, N. J., on August 2, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Catherine May Voll and James George Erickson. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Catherine Claire Murphy; a granddaughter, Isabella Nicola Camporeale both of Appomattox; and a grandson, Antonio Francesco Camporeale of Toms River, N.J.

She was preceded in death by a son, Carl B. Murphy, III; a brother, James Erickson; and a sister, Michele E. Zimmerman.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church by Father Jim Gallagher. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
