Catherine Roberts Drinkard, 93, of Concord passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Appomattox Health and Rehab. She was the wife of the late James Lafayette Drinkard, Sr. for 68 years.

Born in Concord on November 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Mott McKinley Roberts and Colena Elizabeth Doss Roberts. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was a retired administrative secretary for Montaque Betts.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy Drinkard and wife, Donna of Lynchburg; one daughter, Linda Holt and husband, Frank of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Laura Holt, Stephanie Hazelwood and husband, Robert, and Jeremy Drinkard; four great-grandchildren, Alec McDaniel, Bryce Hazelwood, Braden Hazelwood, and Mikayla Drinkard; four brothers, R. Gerald Roberts and wife, Laura of Mechanicsville, E.B. "Ned" Roberts and wife, Frances of Lynchburg, David Roberts of Port Lavaca, TX, Fred Roberts and wife, Violet of Lynchburg; and a sister, Ruby Jacobs of Siler City, NC.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Hunter Roberts and Mott Roberts, Jr., and two sisters, Dorothy R. Woody, and Bea R. Mann.

A graveside service will be held 10 am, Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Concord Cemetery with Rev. Dan Dibble officiating.
