Obituary
Carroll Smith Harper, 82, of Cullen died on Friday, October 14, 2011. Born in Charlotte County on January 31, 1929, he was a son of the late Mebane S. Harper and Lucy Leadbetter Harper.
Carroll is survived by one brother, Lewis Harper of Roanoke and one sister, Mildred H. Moore of South Boston. In addition to his parents, Carroll was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Harper.
Carroll was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Madisonville and retired from the Charlotte County School System.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2011 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Anthony Reeves.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1030 Oakville Road, Appomattox, VA 24522.
