Obituary
Carrie Guill Gobble, 93, of Appomattox, died Friday, December 31, 2010 in the Medical Care Center. She was the widow of Clarence H. Gobble.
Born in Appomattox County, on May 19, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Myrtle McCormick and Herman Guill. She was a life member of Liberty Baptist Church and was retired from Central Virginia Training School.
She is survived by two sisters, Rachel G. Waddell and Ruth G. Smith and husband, Fred and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Warner, Elmo, Randolph, and Robert Allen Guill and four sisters, Gertie Jamerson, Elsie Thomas, Myrna Nash, and Molly Seay.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2011 at Robinson Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Small officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Carrie requested memorial contributions be made to Liberty Baptist Church, PO Box 485, Appomattox, VA 24522.
