Nancy Carolyn Moore O'Brien, 63, of Anderson Mill Rd., died Friday afternoon October 1, 2010 at her residence. She was the wife of William Clem (Sonny) O'Brien.
Carolyn was born in Appomattox Co. July 6, 1947 a daughter of Mrs. Rebecca Whitten (Becky) Moore of Appomattox and the late Burnace Rice Moore. She was self-employed and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Donna Marie Mayberry Arrington and her husband, Dwayne of Lynchburg; Angie Mayberry McIver and her husband, William of Appomattox; two brothers, B. Allen Moore and his wife, Peggy; of Lynchburg and James C. (Jimmy) Moore and his wife, Mary of Evington, three step children, John William O'Brien and Richard O'Brien both of Appomattox, and Suzanne Guill of Rustburg; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one step grandson and her daughter-in-law, Audrey Moore Mayberry of Appomattox.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charlie Evan (Chuck) Mayberry, Jr.; brother, Lewis Wayne (Butch) Moore and a granddaughter, Jamie Leigh Mayberry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 4, 2010 at Robinson Funeral Home by Jack Barrett Chaplain of Gentle Shepherd Hospice. Burial will follow in the O'Brien Family Cemetery.
Family and friends are welcome at the home of her mother on Evergreen Avenue, Appomattox.
