Obituary
Carolyn Staton Mottley, 52, of Llama Road, Pamplin died Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of Larry Dean Mottley.
Born in Lynchburg, Va., on November 10, 1962, she was a daughter of Betty Orange Staton of Pamplin and the late Junior Edward Staton. Carolyn was a caretaker to many kids in her community including a special needs child.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by a son, Justin Dean Mottley and fiancée, Victoria Renee Jackson; a granddaughter, Autumn Renee Mottley; a brother, Edward Staton; and two loving aunts, Joyce Baldwin and Dorothy "Cookie" Lair all of Pamplin.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Herndon Jeffreys. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Farmville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
