Carolyn Carter Irvin, 70, of Eldon Road, Appomattox, died Friday morning August 1, 2014 at her home. She was the widow of Paul M. Irvin, Sr.
Carolyn was born in Lynchburg Oct. 9, 1943 a daughter of the late Dorothy Ferguson and Mobie J. Carter. She was a retired employee of Thomasville Industries.
She is survived by three children, Lisa G. Irvin and Paul M. Irvin, Jr. and wife, Heather all of Appomattox and Linda I. Catron and husband, James of Vinton; 7 grandchildren, Greg, Milissa, Gabrielle, Justin, Hope, Rachel and Alex; 3 great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Parker and Elizabeth; and a niece, Dana Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Cecil and Keith Carter and a granddaughter, Alexandra Irvin.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday August 4, 2014 in Evergreen Cemetery officiated by Ronnie Campbell.
