Carolyn Walker Evans, of Hill N Dale Drive, Lynchburg, died Sunday, November 12, 2017, at her residence. She was the wife of Frank Edward Evans.

Born on November 27, 1949, in Lynchburg, Va., she was raised in Gladys by her parents, Emily Williamson Walker-Cooper and the late Walter Mitchell Walker. She was a member of Tree of Life Ministries and was retired from Harris Garage.

In addition to her husband, Frank and mother, Emily, she is survived by two children, Kevin Lawhorne and wife, Melissa of Appomattox and Nicole Lawhorne Williamson and husband, Mike of Concord; two step-sons, Peyton Evans of Pilot Mountain, N. C. and John Evans and wife, Ryane of San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren, Jacob, Kanan, Kylee, Gabe, Michael, and Christopher; a sister, Susan Crouch and husband, Waddie of Forest; and a brother, Tommy Walker and wife, Myra of Altavista.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church by Pastors Mike Dodson, Michael Turner, and Mark Grooms. Burial will follow in the Perrows Chapel Cemetery, 2354 Covered Bridge Rd., Gladys.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, at Robinson Funeral Home, Appomattox and other times at the home of her son, Kevin, 1032 Oakville Road, Appomattox.
