Carl Max Snyder, 62, of Oakville Rd., Gladstone, died Sat. Nov. 19, 2011, at his residence. He was the husband of Delilah Faye McKay Snyder.
Born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, on July 29, 1949, he was a son of the late Raymond Max and Albert Louise Flemming Snyder. Carl was a retired Senior Chief for the US Navy serving in Vietnam and Grenada. He was employed as head foreman for the Appomattox Lime Company.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Faye and Larry Pillow of Altavista and Carla Louise and Michael Ross of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond Max and Grace Snyder of Lynchburg and Dale Leon and Kimberly Snyder of Evington; 22 grandchildren including, Gregory, Gavin, Conner, Katelyn, Jasmine, Devin, Ryan, Claire, and Matthew; numerous great-grandchildren including, Devon, Tyra, and Cody; brother and sisters, Larry, Sandra, and Elizabeth.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer and one brother, Dale Eugene Snyder.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Robinson Funeral Home.
