Appomattox: Carl Rosser (Skinny) Wooldridge, 80, of 11 Evergreen Ave., died, Monday, April 17, 2006 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Ila Harding Wooldridge.
Born in Appomattox County, June 6, 1925, he was the son of the late Carlton Rosser Wooldridge and Annie Cawthorne Wooldridge. Skinny was a retired tractor mechanic for Pulliam Tractor Sales and Locust Grove Farm Tractor Shop. He was a member of the Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department for 59 years, Liberty Baptist Church, Woodmen of the World, Appomattox Farm Bureau, and 50 year member of Travelers Protective Association.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Priscilla W. Judd of Luray and two grandchildren, Christopher L. Judd and his wife, April of Stanley and Angela Judd of Roanoke.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Lawson Wooldridge and a sister, Eleanor E. Godsey.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2006 in Liberty Baptist Church by the Rev. Daniel Dockery, the Rev. Dr. Carl Collins and the Rev. Robert Alderman. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the residence.
