Carl Boyd Murphy, III, of Police Tower Road, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Hospice House in Lynchburg.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, he was a son of the late Carl Boyd Murphy, Jr and Catherine Erickson Murphy. Carl was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the NRA.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a sister, Catherine Claire Murphy; niece, Isabella Nicola Camporeale and nephew, Antonio Francesco Camporeale.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jim Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
