Calvin Morris "Jack" Ragland, 76, of Old Courthouse Road, Appomattox, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his residence.  He was the loving husband of Alice Ragland.

Born in Appomattox County, February 24, 1946, he was a son of the late Estelle Mae Bryant and Lewis Douglas Ragland.  He retired from J.E. Sears and Co. as a carpenter and was a member of Mt. Hope Hunt Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, Roger Ragland, Robert Ragland and wife, Diane and Herman Ragland and wife, Kathy; sisters-in-law, Shirley Ragland, Audrey Ragland and Helen Ragland; family friend, Barry Watkins all of Appomattox; and his first wife, Ellen Taylor of Danville.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Clarence, Austin, James, Buck and Delmas Ragland; one sister, Virginia Spiggle; and two nephews, R.L. and Del Ragland.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
