Burnace Allan Moore, 74, of Georgia Drive, Evington, died Sunday, February 21, 2016 in UVA Medical Center. He was the husband of Peggy Ann Martin Moore.
Born in Appomattox County, Va., on September 25, 1941, he was a son of Rebecca Whitten Moore of Appomattox and the late Burnace Rice Moore. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the H & P Hunt Club. Allan retired from English Construction and loved to hunt, farm and garden.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah M. and Thomas Foster, Jr. of Brookneal and Gwendolyn M. and Robert Lawhorn, Jr. of Citrus Springs, Fla.; two step-daughters and son-in-law, Tammy and Arturo Manzanales of Danville and Theresa Towler of Evington; a brother, James C. Moore and wife, Mary of Evington; grandchildren, Christopher Lawhorn and Monica, Chelsea Moore, Jason Lawhorn and Chelsea, Brittany Davis and Cody, and Josh Lawhorn; a great granddaughter, Trinity Lawhorn; step-grandchildren, Henry Lee Clay, Jr., Jessica Moon, Felicia Towler, Sherry Moon, and Ricky Moon, Jr.; 18 step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Bobby Day.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Wayne (Butch) Moore and a sister, Carolyn M. O'Brien.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Robinson Funeral Home by Pastor Bill Evans. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. and other times at the home of his mother, 560 Evergreen Ave., Appomattox.
