Buddy Ray Thompson Jr., 57, died Saturday, May 19 ^th , 2018, at Duke University Medical Center.

He was the loving husband of Cindy Thompson and a wonderful father to his two sons, Trey and Cory.

He was born in Lynchburg, VA on November 19, 1960, the son of Buddy Ray Thompson Sr. and Charlene Ranson Thompson of Little River, SC. He was a member of Rocks Baptist Church, Pamplin, VA, owner of Beaver Creek Duplexes, off campus CCU student housing in Conway, SC.   Buddy was a sports coach and mentor to not only his sons but to many young men over the years. He was an avid Coastal Carolina University sports fan. Buddy was a friend to all who knew him, his presence always filled the room.

In addition to his wife, children and parents, Buddy is survived by his sister, Cheryl Sibilia and her husband, John of Longs, SC and his beloved Golden Retriever, "Sadie".

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robbie Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Rocks Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
