Brian Keith Wood, 43, of Crawley Lane, Appomattox, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 24, 2018.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., on August 13, 1975, he was a son of Verna Ferguson Wood of Appomattox and the late Roy Raymond Wood, Sr. He was employed by Appomattox Well Drilling and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Brian loved the Washington Redskins.

In addition to his mother, Verna, he is survived by two daughters, Justis Wood and Jasmine Wood; a granddaughter, Harley Fee; a sister, Virginia "Tutt" Mann and husband, James all of Appomattox; a step-sister, Kathy Harris and husband, Jimbell; three nephews, Frankie, Brandon, and Raymond and two nieces, Savannah and Christie.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Wood, Jr; and a step-mother, Evelyn Irving.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Glory Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Brooks and Rev. Carlton Duck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Glory Baptist Church.
