Brenda Joyce Jordan Hamilton, 61, of Booth Drive, Appomattox died Friday night January 17, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Brenda was born in Chowan Co., NC April 22, 1952 a daughter of Marcella Johnson Jordan Johnson of Appomattox and the late Johnnie William Jordan.
She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and the office manager for Campbell Lumber Company.
Brenda was very special and unique in her own way and enjoyed going to church and being a part of her church family. She enjoyed spending time with Wayne, eating out; dancing, watching movies on TV and playing her computer game "Farmville 2" Brenda will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Albert Jordan, step-father, James Edward Johnson, paternal grandparents, Nathan and Nancy Jordan and maternal grandparents, Ozias and Emily Rook Johnson.
In addition to her mother, she is survived a daughter, Tricia Annette Young of Appomattox; brother, Johnnie Alvin Jordan and wife, Saundra of Fairfax; sister, Nancy Jordan Greene and husband, Milton "Buddy" of Appomattox; nephew, Johnny Lee Bass, niece, Tina Marie Bass and their families all of Appomattox also a special friend, Wayne Burge of Appomattox.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday January 26, 2014 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Kevin M. Holt.
The family will receive friends at the home of her mother, 183 Maple Street, Appomattox on Sunday January 19 from 2-4:00 P.M. and on Monday January 20 at Robinson Funeral Home from 5:30 PM until 7:00 P.M.
