Braxton Eugene Davidson, 85, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

Born in Lynchburg, on October 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Thomas Davidson, Sr. and Mary Lee Walden Davidson. He was a former member of Eastbrook Baptist Church, an avid baseball player and drag car racer.

He is survived by two children, Rhonda Harris and husband, Robert, and Thomas Davidson who followed him in death on Thursday, August 25, 2022; three stepchildren, Sharon Jennings and husband, Randall, Margaret Craig and husband, Wayne, and Allen Emmett and wife, Debra; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Roberts, Amy Cox, Amanda Roberts, Amber Harris, Rique Davidson, Monica Davidson, and Jessica Campbell; and 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters; a grandson, Allen "A.J." Emmett, Jr.; and his lifelong companion, Annie Mae Crabtree.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mark Grooms officiating.
