Bonnie Faye Paulette, 72, of Appomattox, died Friday, May 31, 2019.

Born in Lynchburg on January 6, 1947, she was a daughter of the late David Edward Paulette and the late Rachel Morris Paulette. Bonnie was baptized into the faith at Evergreen Baptist Church and a longtime member of Bread of Life Church.

She is survived by one sister, Glenda P. Hackett, and husband, Danny of Dillwyn; one brother, Philip (Gus) Paulette, and wife Pam of Appomattox; nieces and nephews, Davy Hackett and wife, Jennifer, Wendy Wilkerson and husband, Brian, Claire Paulette, and Lauren Paulette; great-nieces and nephews, Kaleigh, Kelsey and Dylan Hackett, Donovan and Danielle Wilkerson.

Bonnie's sweet and loving spirit was an example of how we should treat one another. After graduating from Phillips Business College, she worked in the Appomattox County School System as a Teacher's Aide and also served as a house mother at the Salem Baptist Children's Home and Family Services Foundation. Bonnie possessed a servant's heart and generously gave of her time and talents to bless the lives of others. She shared her creativity as a cake designer at Tiffany's Bakery and blessed many of her friends and family through gifts of birthday, wedding, and special occasion cakes.

Bonnie never missed an opportunity to tell those around her that she loved them. Bonnie sends her final earthly "I love you" to all of the special angels who loved and cared for her.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Evergreen United Methodist Church with Rev. John Flood and Rev. Marsha L. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service, and other times at the home of Gus and Pam Paulette.
