Appomattox: Bobby Ray Eagle, 65, of 2901 Purdum Mill Rd., died Sunday, January 28, 2006 at his residence.
Born in Appomattox County, June 30, 1941, he was a son of the late David William and Lula Godsey Eagle.
He is survived by a daughter, Joan Eagle Floyd and husband, Peter of Spout Spring; three sons, Donnie R. Eagle of Appomattox, Terry L. Eagle and wife, Martha of Concord, and Robert R. Eagle and wife, Dana of Evergreen; four brothers, C. Lyle Eagle, Julian B. Eagle both of Appomattox, Andrew L. Eagle, and Wiley E. Eagle both of Lynchburg; two sisters, Mary E. Bohannon of Appomattox and Alice E. Sale of Lynchburg; six grandchildren, Michael B. Eagle of Lynchburg, Bradley W. Floyd and wife, Nickie of Spout Spring, Jordan E. and Kaylyn M. Eagle both of Concord, Jacob R. and Joshua L. Eagle both Evergreen and a great granddaughter, Braelyn N. Floyd.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Kay Eagle; a grandson, Vincent Daniel Floyd; two brothers and five sisters.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Childress. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7-8:30 pm.
