Billy Allen Webber, 73, of Webber Lane, Pamplin died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of Barbara Anderson Webber.
Born in Appomattox County, September 3, 1934, he was a son of the late Frank Edward and Verna Mae Farrar Webber. Billy was a farmer and a member of Piney Ridge United Methodist Church for 58 years. He was predeceased by his first wife of 32 years, Claudette (Kay) Chenault Webber, six brothers and a sister.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three children and their spouses, Debbie and Jimmy Farmer, Kelly and Allen Smith, and Sammy and Angie Webber all of Pamplin; four grandsons, James Farmer, Jason Farmer, Samuel Webber and Jeremy Smith; four granddaughters, Jody Farmer, Julie Farmer Prue and husband, Jeremy, Shana Kay Webber, and Melissa Smith; a great granddaughter, Katelyn Pearl Prue; four step-children, Steve and Nancy Letterman, Barry and Mitzi Letterman, Mark and Jennifer Letterman, and Danette and Dale Jennings; grandsons, Steven Letterman and his wife, Sarah, Keith Jennings, Kevin Jennings; granddaughters, Susan Womack and husband, Craig, Stephanie Totty and husband, Patrick, Gwen Letterman, Morgan Letterman, and Melanie Letterman; great grandchildren, Cameron Renee Womack and Ethan James Letterman; three brothers, Edward Webber of Pamplin, Howard Lee Webber of Cumberland, and Henry Ray Webber of California; and four sisters, Lula Lewis of Farmville, Ruby Berry, Youwilder Garrett both of Richmond, and Mildred Anne Switzer of Illinois.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Piney Ridge United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robert Green with burial following in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 -8:00 pm and other times at his residence.
