Beverly Winston Phelps, 70, of Appomattox passed away on December 31, 2022, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Elmer Millard Phelps.

Born in Lynchburg on September 29, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Robert Carter Winston, Sr. and Waverly Hubbard Winston. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and was retired from BWXT after 41 years of service. She expressed her love for others through a selfless and generous heart. Beverly was a devoted mother and grandmother who had a deep love for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was not only her daughters' mother, but their best friend.

She is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Martin and husband, Bucky of Spout Spring, and Angela Wolfe and husband, Lee of Salem; six grandchildren, Kirsten Doss Hamlett and husband, Caleb, Lieutenant Grey Wolfe, Addison Wolfe, Morgan Doss, Winston Wolfe, and Lathan Doss; one great-grandson, Colton Pierce; sister, Nancy Bryant of Lynchburg; and special niece, Ruth and Dakota Blanks, and their children, Cason, Carter, Waverly.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Winston, Jr., and Billy Winston.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday, January 6, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Grooms officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends January 5, from 6-8 pm at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
