Beverly Dillard Mays, 79, formerly of Pamplin, died Friday, October 18, 2013 after a life of 71 years at the Central Virginia Training Center, Madison Heights. He was a son of the late E. Dillard and Leila Webber Mays. He was also predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas A. Mays, and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the members of the staff at the Training Center. Beverly was lovingly cared for with compassion and competence by staff members who met his daily needs for over seventy years.
A graveside funeral service was held at 10:00 AM Monday October 21, 2013, in Pamplin Community Cemetery with the Rev. Herndon Jeffreys III officiating. The service was followed by a Memorial Service on the grounds of the Training Center at 2 PM on the same day.
