Betty Mae Pierson, 80, of Wildway Road, Appomattox, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Yelm, Washington, on June 9, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Hazel Metcalf Pierson.
She is survived by a daughter, Karlene Wilson of Appomattox; a sister, Patricia Coons; and eight grandchildren, Melissa Lyle, Michael Green, Brian Green, Jonathan Gaumond, Elijah Hewson, Steven Green, Karlie Lyle, and Hailie Lyle. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Green.
