Betty Robertson Moore, 79, of Lucy Street, Appomattox, died Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge. She was the wife of the late Thomas Edward Moore, Sr.

Born in Lynchburg, July 7, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Rachel Guill and Alfred E. "Fred" Robertson. Betty was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by four children, T.E. Moore and wife Pat, Al Moore and wife, Janet, Darrell Moore and wife, Nita and Tina M. Dunnam and Mike Knight all of Appomattox; four grandchildren, Sheila Kay Roper and husband Adam, Tiffany Phelps and husband Dane, Adam Moore and wife, Mandee and Jordan Moore; four great-grandchildren, Clay Mann, Raylee Roper, Farrah Phelps and Pierce Phelps; four step-grandchildren, Heather Cheatham, Felicia Mann, Mary Beth Nash, and Julie Overman.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy R. Richardson.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Wingfield officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at her residence following the service.
