Betty Grace Fields Crews, 71, of Stonewall Road, Appomattox, died Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at her residence. She was the wife of Paul Gordan Crews.

Born in Concord, Va., on October 27, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Troy Fields and Maude Reynolds Fields. Her mother died at a young age and Betty was raised by her loving Aunt Grace Reynolds Estes. She was a member of Jubilee Baptist Church formerly Mt. Vernon Baptist.  Betty loved serving the Lord and especially enjoyed working in her church in many capacities.  She loved to fish and collected antique kerosene lamps. Betty worked for many years for J. Lyle Moore and Sons Excavating and Grading.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Tammy Crews Dill and husband, Richard and Vicki Lynn Crews all of Appomattox; two grandchildren, Brett Dill and wife, Kaitlyn and Lani Dill; and a brother, Warren Fields and wife, Mary of Slidell, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Maude Lambert and a brother, Albert Fields.

A graveside funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Jubilee Baptist Church by Pastor Roger Childress and Pastor Earl Clarkson. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service outside on the church lawn.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Jubilee Baptist Church, P. O. Box 695, Rustburg, VA 24588.
