Betty Wilder Coleman Musick, 87, of Richmond Hwy., Concord, died Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Lynchburg Health and Rehab Center. She was twice widowed; her first husband was the late Allie Thomas Coleman and her second husband was the late Harris Allen Musick.
Born in Socrum, Fla., on February 5, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Eva Florence Haynes and Benjamin Pasco Wilder. She was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church, retired from Thomasville Furniture, a DJ for WTTX, and volunteered for several years at Lynchburg General Hospital.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Janice Coleman and Gary and Sally Coleman all of Concord; four grandchildren, Mark and Michelle Coleman, Krista C. Talmage and fiancé, Robert King, Andrew Coleman, and Olivia Coleman; three great-grandchildren, Savanna Talmage, Carson Coleman, and Jackson Coleman; and a sister, Mary Cousins of Chesapeake.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church by the Pastor Mark Grooms and Pastor Jeff Worley. Burial will follow in Reedy Spring Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
