Bernard Allen Moore

Bernard Allen Moore, 66, of Fork Union, VA, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Oakhurst Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Lynchburg, VA, on November 24, 1959, he was the son of Julia Wooldridge Moore and the late Jospeh Cade Moore. Bernard greatly enjoyed his work as a mechanic in the trucking industry as well as the people he worked with, until his retirement due to injury.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by 3 brothers, Calvin D. Moore, Steven W. Moore and wife, Barbara, and Charles “C.T” Moore and wife, Jennifer; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth L. Moore and Carlton “Bobo” Moore; and one sister, Sharon Moore.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Moore Family Cemetery, Colemans Mill Road, Gladstone, VA, officiated by Pastor Bridgett Baker-Ihaza.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
