Belle Martin Reynolds Megginson, 92, of Liberty Chapel Road, Appomattox, died, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Twice widowed, she was the loving wife of Lonnie Christian Reynolds, Sr. and Joseph Robert Megginson Sr.

Born in Appomattox County, August 23, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Ruth Drinkard and Thomas Raymond Martin. Belle was a member of Liberty Chapel Baptist Church, where she was a member of the W.M.U and played the piano and organ for many years.

She is survived by two sons, Lonnie C. Reynolds, Jr., and wife, Anne of Appomattox and Michael R. Reynolds and wife, Cheryl of Forest; two daughters, Delores R. Cheatham and husband, H.T. of Appomattox and Debra R. Chumley and husband, James of Kernersville, NC; two sisters-in-law, Sallie R. Martin of Riner,Va and Rita Reynolds of Los Angeles, CA; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, T.R. Martin, Russell Martin and Carl Martin.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Liberty Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
