Barbara Stepp Rumburg, 80, of Spout Spring, VA died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at her residence. She was the wife of Dr. Howard Rondel Rumburg.

Born in Princeton, West VA, on February 27, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Loraine Blankenship Stepp and Curtis H. Stepp.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Beth D. and Kenneth Dunn of Lynchburg and Sara R. and Andy Westmoreland of Yadkinville, NC; six grandchildren, Jeremy Dunn (Grace), Andrea Dunn, Joshua Guill (Summer), Emily McCraw (Daniel), Allison Guill, and Olivia Guill; four great-grandchildren, August, Sully, Alexandra, and Gabrielle; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Barbara Stepp of Christiansburg, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Mark Liddle will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church, 127 Woodlawn Trail, Appomattox, VA. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

A graveside service officiated by Rev. Andy Rice will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2023, at New Zion Cemetery, Elgood, West VA.
