Barbara Ann Cordes Bowman, 69, of South Fork Rd., Pamplin, VA, died Friday, February 21, 2014, in Southside Community Hospital.

Born in West Orange, New Jersey, on January 2, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Elsie and Robert Cordes. She was employed by Emmett R. McLane, D.D.S., P.C. Barbara loved animals, gardening, and was a loud and proud supporter of all of her grandchildren's activities.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Tara Bowman of Riverdale, NJ and Jeff and Lisa Bowman of Easton, PA and her loving companion of many years, Lou Inzeo. She was a devoted Granny to her grandchildren Amanda, Abigail, Ryan, Evelyn and Brendan Bowman and Lou's grandchildren Alyssa, Anna, Anthony and Angelo Inzeo and Adam Rose.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dottie Cordes and a brother, Art Cordes.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Robinson Funeral Home 667 Court Street Appomattox, VA 24522 by Dr. Emmett McLane.
