Obituary

Austin Chase Durrett, 36, was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on May 18, 1987.  He was a Christian and a hardworking man, currently working as a salesman at Classic Toyota in Tyler, Texas. Austin loved the outdoors especially hunting anything that wore a fur coat, fishing for anything that swims and riding ATVs.   He also enjoyed playing tennis and spending time on the golf course.  He will always be known as a "grill master" but most of all how much he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brantley James Durrett; granny, Ora White; and grandfather, Yeaman White.

Austin is survived by his girlfriend, Katelyn Sapulvada of Bullard, TX; father, Taylor Durrett and wife, Deborah of Jacksonville, TX; mother, Marie Durrett of Appomattox; stepfather, Edward Martin of Appomattox; sister, Casey Bailey (Joshua) of Pamplin; brother, Philip Gray (Sarah) of Appomattox; son, Eli Durrett of Appomattox and his mother, Meghan Durrett; daughter, Serenity Durrett and her mother, Danielle Camire both of Appomattox. He is also survived by other loving family members including Randy Duffield, Debbie Taylor of Jacksonville, TX, Roger White (Donna) of Lynchburg, Michael Martin (Jenny Lou) of Appomattox; nieces and nephews, Ella, Dylan, Peyton, Grayson; and many cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 until 8 p.m., on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, Texas.
