Spout Spring: Arwilda "Mickie" Johnson Martin, 74, of 198 Peaceful Meadow Rd., died July 6, 2006 at her residence. She was the wife of the late William Harold Martin.
Born in Appomattox Co., November 29, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Herman Taylor and Gracie Cumbie Johnson. Mrs. Martin was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and retired from Courtland Manufacturing after 30 years of service.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Carolyn Martin of Red House; Barry and Renee Martin of Evergreen and six grandchildren, Melissa, Shane, Joey, Julie, Michelle, and Michael.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home, Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Spout Springs Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Earnie Lucas.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Hospice of the Hills, 3300 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24503.
