Obituary
Arizona Shelton Ramsey, 89, of Park Street, Pamplin, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family.
Born in Greenville, Tenn., on August 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Alice and Luther M. Shelton. She married the love of her life, Frank Lee Ramsey on February 23, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2014. Arizona was a member of Clearview Baptist Church, a retired garment factory worker, and loved cooking and taking care of her family.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Wilson Garrison; two grandsons, Christopher Garrison and Jamie Garrison; a "adopted daughter", Carolyn Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven sisters and nine brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Robinson Funeral Home by Pastor Paul McLinden, the family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will follow at Rocks Baptist Church Cemetery.
