Appomattox: Annie Gilbert Webb, 95, went to her heavenly home on Monday, October 16, 2006. She was the wife of the late L. LeGrand Webb.
Born in Appomattox County, April 15, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Seabron A. and Annie Morris Gilbert. Annie was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and active in the WMU.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce A. Webb of Appomattox; nieces and nephews, Gail and Willie Craft, Carol and Marshall Goin, Seabron Adamee all of Appomattox and Virginia and Ed Greer of Dayton, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Webb.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Robert, and Berkely Gilbert and five sisters, Mary Alice Adamee, Minnie Estelle Gilbert, Ora Elizabeth Gilbert, Rachel Elsie Gilbert, and Gracie Florence Coleman.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, October 19, 2006 in Hollywood Baptist Church by the Rev. Bob Millis with burial following in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Wednesday from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the home of Gail and Willie Craft.
