Annie Dale Tuck Thompson, 82, of Concord, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 12, 2026.
Born on May 28, 1944, in Nathalie, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mabel Tuck. Known to family and friends simply as Dale, Mom, and Nana, she was the last surviving sibling of three sisters and eight brothers.
Dale was a faithful member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church since 1989. Throughout her working years, she held management positions in the workforce; however, the role she treasured most was that of homemaker. Her home was always open to family, and she found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved.
Dale enjoyed history, television game shows, and trivia, and was known for her knowledge and quick recall of facts. Her faith was an important part of her life, and family members will always remember her quoting Scripture and beginning with the familiar words, "The Bible says..."
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, David Edward Thompson; her children, Gary Thompson and wife Sandy of Rustburg, Virginia, Michael Thompson of Concord, Virginia, and Kim Gallaher of Concord, Virginia; her daughter-in-law, Joan Anne Burleigh Thompson of Concord, Virginia, wife of her late son, David Wayne Thompson; and her son-in-law, Roger Gallaher of Concord, Virginia.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Heather Guilliams; Robin McFadden and husband Nick; Crystal Mutispaugh and husband Rader; Rachel Bryant and husband Caleb; Rebecca Novakovic and husband Bill; Jesse Thompson; Katie Thompson; Christian Gallaher and wife Hannah; Cameron Gallaher; and Zachary Thompson.
She was blessed with great-grandchildren: Ryder and Remington; Kayden, Easton, and Mason; Will; Calista; and Darci, with another great-grandchild expected soon.
She was preceded in death by her firstborn son, David Wayne Thompson.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church, with Pastor Mark Grooms officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will follow immediately at Victory Baptist Church in Sprout Spring, with Jeff Worley officiating.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, whom she faithfully loved and served throughout her life.
Robinson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family. An online condolence may be sent by visiting www.robinsonfuneral.com.
