Obituary
Annie Gobble Kress, 79, of Pamplin, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 in the Woodlands of Farmville. She was the wife of the late Samuel Jones Kress, Sr.
Born January 14, 1935 in Appomattox Co., she was a daughter of the late Dewey Lee and Lottie Mae Kestner Gobble. She was a member of Walkers Presbyterian Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Sammy Kress, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, Appomattox; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Smith and husband, Roger, Frances Mann and husband, Earl, Mary Wilborn and husband, William, all of Pamplin; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday June 24, 2014 at Walkers Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Jeff Worley.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today (Monday) from 7-8:30 P.M. and at other times at her residence.
