Anne Crockett McClary, 82, of Mathews Rd., Appomattox, died Monday, October 27, 2014, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of James McClary.
Born in Hampton, Va., on March 28, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth Lawrence and Paul Crockett. She was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Deborah Ann McClary of Wilmington, N.C., Katherine Bennett and husband, Brad Lee of Gloucester County, and Susanne Lee and husband, Bruce of Richmond; a son, Bruce Wayne McClary of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren, Aaron Bilodeau, Irene Hall , Ben Lee, and Zachary McClary; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Hall and Miranda Purtee; and two sisters, Bernice Davenport and husband, John of Staunton and Nancy Carter and husband, Leroy of Tooela, Utah.
She is preceded in death by two sons, James Marshall McClary and Paul Ashley McClary and two brothers, Lawrence Crockett and Ray Crockett.
A memorial service will be held 1 PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at St. Anne's Episcopal Church officiated by the Rev. John Boucher.
