Anna Louise Wood Layne, 75, of Vermillion Road, died, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her residence. She was the loving wife of Ted Wayne Layne, Sr.

Born in Lynch, Kentucky, December 3, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Grace Goodwin and David Wood. Louise attended and taught Sunday school at Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a talented seamstress, an excellent cook, and also enjoyed gardening and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by four children, Ted Layne, Jr and wife, Cindy of Dillwyn, Keith Layne of Appomattox, Donna Colon and husband, Gerado of San Antonio, TX and JoAnna Webb and husband, Tim of Appomattox; seven grandchildren, Gael Colon, Collin Webb, Alayna Webb, Branson Layne, Caleb Layne, Wyatt Layne and Sommar Moore.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Disney and a brother, David Wood.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Mann officiating. Burial will follow in Herman Methodist Cemetery.
