Anna Lee McFadden Dixon, 79, of Patterson Street, Appomattox, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of the late William Joseph Dixon, Sr. She was born in Gladstone, Va., on July 23, 1937, a daughter of the late Mary Alice and Otha McFadden.

She is survived by a son, James Dixon of Lynchburg; a sister, Ella Baldock of Altavista; 13 grandchildren; a special daughter-in-law, Dolly Bryant; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three children, three grandchildren, two sisters, and three brothers.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2017, at Gladstone Cemetery.
