Obituary
Alyne Irby Ramsey, 80, of Charlotte Court House, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond Howard Ramsey, Sr.
Born in Lynchburg, Feb. 18, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Richard Irby and Mary Tolbert Irby. Alyne was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Raymond Howard Ramsey, Jr. of Charlotte C.H., Gary Thomas Ramsey and wife, Susie of Appomattox, and Michael Anthony Ramsey of Evergreen; one sister, Katie Ramsey of Appomattox; one grandson, Raymond Howard Ramsey, III; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Concord Baptist Church by the Rev. Tony Reeves and the Rev. Donnie Smith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today, October 3, 2009 at Robinson Funeral Home.
