Obituary
Allen Hart Baldwin, 77, of Killdeer Rd., Pamplin, died Wednesday, Nov. 17 2010, in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Prince Edward Co., on April 14, 1933, he was the son of the late Ida Cumbey and R. Sam Baldwin. Allen retired as a clerk from Motley Hardware in Farmville, was a veteran of the US Army, and a member of Pamplin United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a niece, Phyllis A. Thacker and her husband, Ronald of Amherst; a nephew, George M. Allen and wife, Sandra of Pamplin; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise B. Allen.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 21, 2010, in Pamplin Community Cemetery by Pastor Johnny Covington.
