Obituary
Allan Randolph (Randy) McFadden, 69, of Reedy Spring Rd., Spout Spring, died Saturday, January 28, 2012. He was the husband of Judith L. McFadden.
Born in Lynchburg, VA, on May 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Leonard Washington and Mary Ann Carter McFadden. Randy was a member of Freedom Word Church and a US Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He was also a cattle farmer.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Lori Allan Huffman and her husband, Carl of Spout Spring and Kerri Lynn McFadden of Concord; three granddaughters, Caitlin, Delaney, and Emily Huffman; and numerous aunts.
In accordance to Randy's wishes, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Freedom Word Church by the Rev. Greg Mayhorn with a reception immediately following. The family will receive friends at the residence at any time.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Word Church, PO Box 661, Appomattox, VA 24522.
