Albert H. Sharp, 93, Woodlawn Trail, Appomattox, passed away peacefullyon Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Heritage Green Assisted Living in Lynchburg.
Albert was Captain in the US Army Air Corps and served his country during World War II. He was employed by Curtiss Wright Corp as an engineer and traveled the world extensively for them. When he retired in 1984, he and his late wife, Virginia, settled in Appomattox where they enjoyed an active social life. As a member of Falling River Country Club, he enjoyed golf with his friends. Albert and Virginia were members of St. Anne's' Episcopal Church.
Albert will be missed by his nieces and nephews and his loyal friends, Joe and Ellie Dimino.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Robinson Funeral Home from 7:00-8:30 pm.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Carolyn Craft. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
