Obituary

Albert Sharpe Moore, 83, of Log Cabin Road, Appomattox, died Monday morning July 9, 2012 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Sylvia Campbell Moore.

Sharpe was born in Sevierville, TN on April 15, 1929 a son of the late Margaret Franklin and John Alfred Moore. He was the owner of A.S. Moore Heating & Air and served his country during the Korean War in the US Navy aboard the USS Wisconsin.

He is survived by his children, Robert Moore and his wife Robin of Concord, Debbie Moore of Appomattox, and Kathy M. Hash of Harrisburg, PA; a brother, J. Frank (Ann) Moore; a sister, Betty M. (Dan) Slough all of Appomattox; four grandchildren, Dana Kay (Christopher) Wilson, Cheyenne Moore, Tony Moore and Latisha Moore; and a great-grandson, Christian Moore.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steve A. Moore; grandson, Danny Moore; two brothers; and five sisters.

A graveside funeral service with military rites accorded by American Legion Post #104 & VFW #9855 combined Honor Guard will be held at 5:00 P.M Friday July 13, 2012 in Liberty Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Jerry Childress. The family will receive friends at 382 Log Cabin Road.
