Arthur Berry Seay, 61, of Rocky Mount Rd., Skipwith, died Monday, March 12, 2012.
Born in Buckingham County, on February 11, 1951, he was a son of the late Allen Watson Seay and Virginia Gregory Seay. He was a general contractor, logger, and a mechanic. Berry was a board member for the Slate River Hunt Club, had a passion for truck and tractor pulling, and was an avid coon hunter.
He was survived by his special friend and companion, Arlene Sundberg of Skipwith; two sons, Andrew A. Seay of Burkeville and Steven G. Seay of Meherrin; a daughter, Candice S. Watson and her husband, Eli of Gladstone; five grandchildren, Whitney Elizabeth Stienruck, Chelsea K. Seay, Andrew Allen Seay, Jr., Chandler Wayne Watson, Larken Cheyenne Watson; a great grandchild, Reagen Steinruck; two brothers, Richard Seay and wife, Linda and Charles Seay and wife, Kathy all of Appomattox; a sister-in-law, Tammy W. Seay of Buckingham; a friend, Carolyn Bowman and her son, Corbet Wade Bowman of Rice and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Dyches Seay.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Union Baptist Church by the Rev. Billy Swan. Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today, Wednesday, March 14, from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the Slate River Hunt Club.
