Leon Earle Miles Leon Earle Miles, 92, of Little Cub Rd., Pamplin, died Monday, July 16, 2012, in Farmville,VA.
Born in South Lancaster, Mass., on October 21, 1919, he was a son of the late Carroll and Grace Hirst Miles. Leon was a member of Appomattox Seventh- day Adventist Church, a retired teacher having taught both in public and private schools, and a WW II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Peck Miles and their daughter, Cyndi (Shilo) and his and Eldora’s children, Gloria J. (David) McAdams, Robert (Dorothy) Miles, Marlyn (Rick) Perez, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eldora Anderson Miles and a son, Gary.
Funeral services will be held at Amelia Veterans Cemetery, Friday July 20 at 11:00 A.M. by Pastor Al Watson.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Thursday July 19 from 7-8:30 PM.
